I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music from Folk to Classical.
I played flute through high school and for fun in a few community groups in the distant past. In 2017, I began my Mountain Dulcimer journey by attending Dulcimer Week in the Wallowas. I’ve been hooked ever since, studying with Heidi Muller and a multitude of internationally renowned dulcimer instructors via in-person & online festivals & workshops, and participating with several jam groups and the First National Dulcimer Orchestra.

The dulcimer is easy to learn with no music experience necessary.
Experienced musicians can add a new instrument to their skills!
I taught a series of 5 Beginning Mountain Dulcimer sessions in the spring and again in the fall of 2025 At the Harrington Opera House.
In the late winter or spring of 2026, I plan to teach a series of 5 sessions focusing on skills for “novice” Mountain Dulcimer players who are familiar with the basics.
If there is enough interest, I’ll repeat a beginning Mountain Dulcimer series in the fall of 2026.
A series will consist of five 90 minute group sessions held at the Harrington Opera House, in Harrington, WA.
$125 + tax for the five 90 minute session series plus book fee(s)

The Spokane Dulcimer Guild is composed of amateur musicians who play and /or build the Mountain Dulcimer. We welcome any stringed instrument to our group as the addition of hammered dulcimer, guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin and banjo adds to the richness of all the tunes that we play.
Jams are usually held on the first and third Friday of the month at the Spokane Friends Meeting Place.
